By accessing or using this website (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. If you use the Site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
The Site is operated by the EXCAR team (see the About page). Throughout these terms, "EXCAR", "we", "us" and "our" refer to that team.
EXCAR is an early-stage hardware product: a small device that adds a conversational AI co-pilot to a car, paired with a companion app. It is in active development. Features, specifications, pricing, hardware cost figures, timelines and availability described on the Site are indicative, may change without notice, and are not promises. Nothing on the Site is an offer to sell, and no contract of sale is formed by using the Site.
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to: disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its systems; scrape, harvest or collect data abusively or by automated means against our reasonable wishes; submit false, infringing, or unlawful content through the contact or reservation forms; impersonate others; or use the Site to transmit malware or for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
The Site and its content, including text, design, the EXCAR name and logo, graphics, and the build journal, are owned by EXCAR or its contributors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and share links to the Site, but you may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from its content for commercial use without our permission. The companion app and device software are licensed, not sold, and may include third-party and open-source components under their own licences.
EXCAR integrates and links to third-party services (for example Anthropic, Spotify, and mapping providers). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that party's own terms and privacy policy.
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we handle it. Please read it.
The Site and all pre-release information are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that pre-release information about the product is accurate or final.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EXCAR and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or your reliance on any pre-release information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
We may update these terms as the product matures. When we do, we will revise the date above. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
